Okmalta.com’s formidable start to the current MSV Life League has now reached its eighth consecutive week thanks to their 8-0 drubbing of Pin Strikers to keep them ten points clear of the pack.

Fina, who also picked up all eight from their clash with Blitzkrieg, are second. Ramis dropped two points in their majority win over Malta International Airport, as did Turu’s Knights against XS, and there was also a 6-2 win for Royal Shock against Supreme.

Top team okmalta.com have an excellent 90.6 per cent rate for points won so far after their last victory over Pin Strikers.

The leaders’ dominance was evident from the opening frames as they claimed the first of the series 837-717.

The difference between the two sides was even starker in game two, which ended 859-688, before a slightly more subdued 815-705 game three win to secure all eight points for okmalta.com, who completed the series of the week on 2,511 pins.

Champions Fina stayed in touch with the top spot thanks to their fine win over Blitzkrieg.

Fina were hardly tested in the first of the set, winning it 837-717 while game two was a little closer with Fina winning it 826-778 to double their lead.

Fina topped off a 2,416-set with a 776-696 win and so complete the whitewash.

Third-placed Ramis came out on top in a 6-2 scoreline against MIA but those two dropped points leave them 14 adrift of the top spot, and four behind second-placed Fina.

Ramis were 0-2 down after the first of the series but then drew level with an improved 842-731 win. Ramis kept up the pace in game three, claiming it 843-709 for the six-point win.
