FimBank p.l.c. is sponsoring and supporting a national campaign that is aimed at raising awareness among all schoolchildren in Malta and Gozo about the impact batteries can have on one's health and environment when disposed of incorrectly.

Thanks to FIMBank's support, the campaign motivates battery collection through a lottery and a competition whereby prizes can be won, including a trip to Euro Disney and laptop computers.

In her address during the launch of this initiative Margrith Lütschg-Emmenegger, president of FIMBank p.l.c., stated: "We have benefited greatly from basing our operations in Malta and we want to participate in select initiatives that benefit the island and its people in order to give something back.

"The National School Battery Collection Campaign fits these criteria perfectly.
