Françoise Truffier has joined the Banking Division of FimBank, the Malta-based global trade finance institution, as a member of the business development and marketing team.
Ms Truffier, a French national, has more than 30 years' international banking experience in the fields of correspondent banking, relationships with institutional investors and major corporate companies, trade finance and syndicated loans.
She began her career in the International Division of Banque de l'Union Européenne, Paris. She then joined Crédit du Nord, Paris, currently part of Société Générale Group and held various positions, initially heading the correspondent banks' desk for the Americas and Asia, then the French banks' desk and finally the institutional investors division, in charge of insurance, brokerage and factoring clientele.
Before moving to Malta and joining FimBank, she worked in Egypt for the last three years as business development manager of a technical assistance service company involved in the microfinance industry in the Mena region (Middle East and North Africa) and western Africa.
