The Individual League competition is now progressing steadily with fixtures being regularly played on Wednesday at the Cottonera SC.

It comprises 10 separate divisions - five for singles and five for doubles - with each fixture consisting of only two sets of 21 points each.

Ten players are contesting the third division singles' title. With each participant having now played six matches, the provisional table is headed by Albert Bezzina (Birkirkara BC) with 10 points.

Club-mate Maria Borg and Godwin Grech (Pawla Wolves BC) are within striking distance, just a single point adrift of the leader. They are followed by George Camilleri (Shuttles BC) on seven points.

Charles Cassar (Pawla Wolves) leads the fourth singles division, which is made up of eight players who have all played four matches each. Having preserved his unbeaten status, Cassar leads the pack with the maximum eight points.

He is followed by a trio of players on the five-point mark, having won two and drawn one of their four fixtures. They are Wolves' Franz Vella as well as Stephen Serracino Inglott and Czech player Martin Basl (both of Msida Arrows BC).

The provisional table of the fifth division sees the unbeaten Claire O'Berg (Birkirkara) on top with eight points. Club-mate Cheryl Dimech follows with seven points, jointly with Dominique Francica (Pawla Wolves).

Both Dimech and Francica are unbeaten, having won three games and drawn one.
