Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to make massive changes for tonight’s League Cup quarter-final against West Ham United at Upton Park.

Javier Hernandez, Chris Smalling and Wes Brown are among those who will hope to be involved, while a new goalkeeper is also expected as Edwin van der Sar stands down in favour of either Tomasz Kuszczak or Ben Amos.

Winners of the tournament for the past two seasons, United will expect a tough test against a Hammers side who recorded three successive wins over Ferguson’s team prior to their present run of six victories on the trot.

Quarter-Finals
Today: 8.45 p.m. Arsenal vs Wigan Athletic; West Ham vs Manchester United.
Tomorrow: 8.45 p.m. Birmingham vs Aston Villa; Ipswich vs West Brom.
