John Buhagiar, currently working in Cairns, Australia, has been accepted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) after successfully undertaking the college examinations last May.

He was presented with the Mary Mahony Examination Prize for achieving the highest overall score in Queensland by RACGP president Chris Mitchell during a ceremony in Brisbane.

Dr Buhagiar worked as a family doctor in the Cottonera area (especially Żabbar) until 2007, when he decided to move to Queensland.
