Readers reported that their internet service was disrupted between 8 p.m. and 8.30.
A spokesman for Melita said the company suffered difficulties with its international connection derived from international provider Wind.
Melita switched to its redundancy service through other local and international providers to minimise the impact.
The company apologised for the inconvenience caused while it praised its technical team for responding immediately to restore service as quickly as possible.
