The presence of God should be seen in each and every person and that of baby Jesus in all newborns, Archbishop Paul Cremona said in his Christmas message.

Wishing the Lord’s peace on each family, Mgr Cremona said that this Christmas families should allow themselves to change. God had to be present to grow within and be the strength and centre of families.

The archbishop said he wished the people to allow Jesus to enter their hearts and to share him with others.

In his message to emigrants, Mgr Cremona said that Christmas was a time of happiness for those who still felt part and were proud of their Christian heritage.

Such Christmas happiness instilled a sense of unity and an everlasting wish to be united with family and friends.

He hoped that such expectations would lead one to heal some of the divisions that could reign among Maltese families.

In a message to missionaries, Mgr Cremona said that the son of God was born a missionary. He was sent by God to spread his message and that was what missionaries were doing when they left Malta for other lands.

He thanked them for what they were doing in the name of the Maltese Church and wished them a happy Christmas and a happy new year.
