A 31-year-old man from Bangladesh was yesterday handed a suspended sentence after admitting selling counterfeit designer wallets on the Sliema promenade.

Moshiaar Rahman said he had imported the items from India and did not know they were fakes. The wallets carried the Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci and Benetton brand names.
