Waldonet Ltd has terminated its ADSL and internet services with GO plc following a recent ruling by the Commission of Fair Trading in favour of Go, the latter said in a statement.

Go said that Waldonet owes it substantial amounts of money, and such debts were accumulated over the past years.

Despite Go’s efforts over the past years to negotiate payment programmes for the sums overdue with Waldonet, the negotiations failed.

“This situation has been ongoing and over the years Go has desisted from taking action given the ongoing judicial process. Go has always cooperated with the competent authorities on the matter.”

On October 21, Go informed Waldonet that if they failed to pay what they owed, the provision of services would be terminated in line with the contractual obligations established between the two parties, and in line with the ruling.

Go said that all Waldonet customers already used Go’s ADSL and fibre so if they opted for its ADSL and internet services they would have a relatively seamless transition of services.

Go said it was doing its utmost to minimise inconvenience for customers wishing to subscribe directly with Go.
