Extra bus trips will be in service during the Gozo carnival weekend to facilitate travel and increase accessibility to the festivities in Nadur, Malta Public Transport said.

A shuttle service will operate between Mgarr and Nadur in line with the boat ferry service, while extra trips will also operate from Victoria to Nadur and from Nadur to various localities around Gozo.

“We want to help make the Nadur Carnival a success,” said Malta Public Transport Commercial Director Daniel Grech.

Mr Grech said that the extra trips will ease parking problems and traffic congestion, and give all those attending a safe way of returning home after a night of festivities.

A shuttle service from Mġarr to Nadur will run on Friday and Saturday.

Extra trips will operate from Victoria to Nadur between 8pm and midnight on Friday and Saturday, and between 8pm and 11pm on Sunday.

In addition, special services will operate from Nadur to all localities in Gozo on Friday at 1am, on Saturday between 1am and 2am, and on Sunday at 11pm.

These will go to the following locaties:
Xaghra - Marsalform
Xewkija - Sannat - Munxar- Xlendi
Victoria - Kercem - St Lucia
Victoria, San Lawrenz- Għarb- Għasri-Zebbug
Għajnsielem- Mġarr
Qala

Those travelling on these special routes can use any of Malta Public Transport’s travel cards.
