An Express Trailers employees saved the day for many drivers this morning when he took the initiative to unblock the road after huge scaffolding wire meshes which were not properly secured on a small truck carrying them, came loose and fell onto the car behind.

A huge traffic jam ensued and car horns were heard for about half an hour, during which frustrated drivers were stuck in their cars all the way down to central Qormi.

The accident happened opposite Express Trailers’ offices and employee, Fabio Vella, who was driving a fork lifter, took the initiative and crossed over to lift the wire meshes.

The company thanked the employee for his quick and responsive act as this was in line with its mission to always ensure safety and order on the road.
