A group of 24 European university students currently on an exchange programme at the University under the Erasmus programme recently completed an Erasmus intensive language course (EILC) in the Maltese language.

The EILC involved 60 hours of lectures and ended with a test. As part of the course's cultural component, the participants learnt about Maltese history and lifestyle. They took part in historical tours of Valletta, Rabat, Mdina, Mosta, a walking tour in Marsaxlokk, visited Għar Dalam, and attended a Maltese cultural evening.

The University's International and EU Office co-ordinated the course, which was delivered by Malta University Services (MUS), and supported by the European Commission within the Lifelong Learning programme framework.
