The EU Child Helpline, 116 111, is now available in Malta to offer help and support to children and young people.

The European Commission has a range of Helpline numbers starting with 116 to assist persons in need. The Child Helpline will help children and young people by referring them to the various services and resources offered by Aġenzija Appoġġ and others.

In 2010, Malta introduced another EU Helpline, namely 116 123, which is the EU Emotional Support Helpline.

Calls to 116 111 and 116 123 will be re-routed to Appoġġ’s Supportline 179. The service is operated and supported by professionally trained persons 24/7. For details, visit www.appogg.gov.mt.
