It is a shame that The Times chose to quote a British eurosceptic website unjustly criticising European Parliament offices across Europe without checking its facts with the EP officials working down the road in St Paul's Street.

A call for clarification prior to publication would have been appreciated.

Editorial note:
The item in question quoted an "EP official" and yesterday The Times carried a rep-ort quoting the head of the European Parliament Representation Office in Malta.
