On December 30, The Sunday Times will be distributing a high quality commemorative magazine to mark Malta's adoption of the euro on January 1, 2008.

The publication, which is being edited by The Times journalist Vanessa Macdonald, is being published by Content House Ltd.

The high profile publication will include contributions from leading international and local personalities including European Commission president José Manuel Barroso, European Parliament president Hans-Gert Pöttering, European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs Joaquín Almunia, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and Opposition leader Alfred Sant.

The souvenir magazine will celebrate this historic milestone with quality editorial content and features on Malta's path to economic and monetary union and the euro itself, providing a pictorial souvenir that readers will surely want to keep.

The editorial team working on the publication are also launching an innovative competition for children. Children are being invited to illustrate, in any shape or form, their understanding of 'Malta and the euro'. Drawings should be limited to an A4 size. Entries should be sent to Content House Ltd, St Julian's Court, Block B, 17, Triq is-Sur Fons, St Julians STJ 1042 by November 30.

An attractive prize will be announced and awarded to the best picture selected by the editorial team.
