The Environment Authority has designated an area close to the Blue Lagoon in Comino for use as a camping site, while banning camping in another area just off Sta Marija Bay.

TWM quoted Alexei Zammit from the ERA as saying on Dissett that work has started on the 10,000 square metre designated campsite known as Tal-Ful.

Rehabilitation works will also be taken in hand in an area currently used by campers near Sta Marija Bay. Mr Zammit said the area will be restored to its original state as part of the rehabilitation of the bay. The works will include restoration of sand dunes, the marsh and footpaths.
