The environmental pressure group Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar has launched its new website as part of its drive to raise awareness on issues such as better preservation and use of heritage assets, land use, air quality, water conservation and improved public transport. This is accessible at www.faa.org.mt.
The website was developed pro bono by Alert Communications (www.alert.com.mt) as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.
The FAA website is powered by an advanced content management system - the Alert Web Publisher. This software makes it easy for FAA volunteers to update all the pages in the site, including news, press releases, events, photo galleries and even an environmental blog.
Speaking at the launch of the website, FAA co-ordinator Astrid Vella said: "Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar is much indebted to Alert Communications for the excellent work involved in creating the NGO's new website. We are also delighted that for the first time we have a website set-up that allows relatively untrained volunteers to post items online without having to depend on trained personnel."
