Applications for the enrollment of voluntary organisations are being received and processed at the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations' office at Block C, Beltissebħ, Floriana, Commissioner Kenneth Wain said.

The Voluntary Organisations Act 2007 provides for a council for the voluntary sector to assist the Commissioner and to bring about a forum for the voluntary sector and a platform from which to develop cooperation between voluntary organisations and the government and cooperation among voluntary organisations themselves. The council will be composed of 11 members, one of which is appointed by the government and one being the Commissioner himself.

The rest of the members are appointed for two years to represent the council's sectors: Five members are appointed through nominations by enrolled organisations and non-enrolled voluntary organisations and four through nominations by the public.

Application forms can be downloaded from or collected from the office of the Commissioner.
