Transport Malta has carried out a detailed assessment of the damages incurred on the road network due to the weather in the past 36 hours and commenced repair works.
The assessment, to plan out the remedial works which need to be carried out a to make the roads safe for users, was done by TM road architects.
Works commenced late last night in hard hit areas and include the reinstatement of a number of retaining walls, service culverts, fragmented asphalt and broken pavements.
Works have already been carried out at Valletta and Mosta roads in Lija, and at Aldo Moro and Labour roads in Marsa.
Works will be carried out in the following areas over the next couple of days, weather permitting:

WORKS IN GOZO
In a separate statement, the Gozo Ministry said that many damages were ported as a result of the weather.
These were started to be repaired as soon as it was possible by workers from the Projects and Tourism directorates within the ministry.
