Caritas Malta has joined an international drive to collect emergency funds for civilian victims of the ongoing conflict in Aleppo, Syria. 

The charity collection is being organised by Caritas International in each of the 147 countries in which the NGO is represented. 

Money collected will be used to service health, water, sanitation and education needs. 

Caritas Syria has pledged to implement a one-year programme that will include rescuing survivors, helping civilians who have lost all their possessions due to war and helping children resume their education in rebuilt schools.
