Consulting group EMCS is to hold the Real Estate Forum 2011 at the Malta Property Expo 2011 on March 18 and 19.

The forum’s main aim is to set the framework for the development of a vision for Malta’s real estate market and outline a possible strategy to build on its successes.

It will start with an evening session on March 18, and continue on March 19, a public holiday. During the morning session there will be an analysis of the current market to understand the challenges it is facing. After lunch there will be a brainstorming workshop that will continue until the early evening.

A number of top-level local and international speakers will address the forum to appraise the current market situation, to enable participants to explore ways to think outside the box, to inspire the workshop sessions and to moderate them.

Among the subjects to be discussed will be general design and urban planning, the ideal product mix for Malta, the marketability of that product mix, economic considerations and environmental issues.

The results of the workshops will be brought together by EMCS into a document to be presented at a press conference on March 20, the final day of the Malta Property Expo.

The report will chart the way forward for the real estate market, bringing together input from all the major stakeholders.

“The expo is the ideal occasion for the real estate market to be debated at the national level,” EMCS director Adrian Said said. “The subject of the forum is of major importance and we are confident the outcome will be groundbreaking.”

The Malta Property Expo 2011 will be held at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre from March 17 to 20.
