Duplex Real Estate Branding, organisers of the Malta Property Expo 2011, have teamed up with EMCS Ltd to present The Real Estate Forum 2011.

The primary objective of the forum is to set the framework for the development of a vision for the development of the real estate market in Malta and Gozo and the potential strategy that needs to be adopted to build on the successes obtained so far.

The forum starts with an introductory evening session on March 18, with the bulk of the work being done on March 19 (a public holiday). Following a morning session when there will be a situational analysis of the current market with an understanding of the challenges being faced followed by lunch. There will be a brainstorming workshop during the afternoon that will go on into the early evening.

A number of top level local and international speakers will be invited to address the forum to appraise the current market situation and also to enable the participants to explore ways to think outside the box to inspire the workshop sessions and then moderate them.

Among the subjects to be discussed will be general design and urban planning, the ideal product mix suitable for the Maltese Islands, the marketability of that product mix, economic considerations and environmental issues.

The results of the workshops will be brought together by EMCS into a document to be presented to the government during a press conference on March 20, the last day of the Malta Property Expo. The report will chart the way forward for the real estate market, having brought together input from all the major stakeholders.

Adrian Said, Director of EMCS, said: “The Malta Property Expo is the ideal occasion for the real estate market to be debated at the national level. We consider the subject of the forum to be of major importance and we are confident that the outcome will be nothing short of groundbreaking.”

David Grech, who is in charge of events and business development at Duplex Real Estate Branding, commented: “We believe that EMCS are eminently well placed to enable The Real Estate Forum 2011 to produce the desired results. They have a proven track record of organising top-level conferences that leave a lasting positive effect on the community.”

The Malta Property Expo 2011 is being held at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre from March 17 – 20, 2011.
