Eleven investors have submitted proposals with the government’s Privatisation Unit for the development of the White Rocks complex. The closing date was today.

A total of 17 had expressed an interest in an international call issued on June 20 after which the government received 139 requests for more information.

A committee will now be set up to evaluate the proposals and prepare a report with recommendations on how the site would best be development on the basis of the submissions received.

Economy Minister Chris Cardona said the interest shown in the project filled the government with courage to continue working to place the country at the forefront in Europe as it was already was in several sectors including economy and employment.
