The new Electrogas power station generated electricity for just over half of Malta's energy needs between May and October.

Energy Minister Joe Mizzi told Marlene Farrugia (PD) in reply to a parliamentary question on Monday that between May 1 and October 30, Delimara IV (Electrogas) produced 53% of the power needs, the interconnector supplied 27% and Delimara III (BWSC) 20%.

The percentages do not include electricity produced from renewable sources.
