The Electoral Commission is to hold a training course in the counting of ballot papers for persons who wish to serve as calculators or supervisors in General, Local Council and European Parliament elections.

Interested persons need to complete the appropriate form to reach the Electoral Commission at Evans Building, Merchants Street, Valletta, VLT 2000, by not later than 28th September, 2012. Such forms may be obtained either through notices in the newspapers,  from the Electoral Commission's Offices in Malta or in Gozo, or from the Electoral Commission's website www.electoral.gov.mt

The course is expected to be of two sessions, each of about three hours' duration and will be held at the Naxxar Counting Complex. Successful attendees would be certified in their efficiency in the vote counting process. During election periods, such certificates, presented together with the formal application, would be given due consideration, the commission said.
