A Malta Racing Club delegation, headed by chairman Matthew Brincat, has flown out to France ahead of the annual Prix de Malte race at the Hippodrome de Bellevue-la-Foret, in Laval.

The group includes eight drivers - Charles Camilleri, Julian Farrugia, David Ellul, Michael Ellul, Rodney Gatt, George Attard, Brian Hili and Tony Demanuele.

All eight will participate in the Prix de Malte, a 2,650m race, the fourth in next Sunday's programme. A competitive race is anticipated between the Maltese and some of the top drivers in France.

The Prix de Malte is open to French trotters, aged between seven and 10 years. All participating trotters will be put up for sale after the race.
