Eight artists will be working in collaboration tomorrow outside Vee Gee Bee Art in Republic Street, Valletta, creating a series of abstract paintings to be sold in aid of The Malta Hospice Movement.

Denise Borg Millo, Carmel Micallef, Francis Galea, Jude Zammit, Anna Maria Hoogvliet Weyers, Carmel Bonello, Joseph Barbara and Clayton Micallef have all accepted the challenge to work spontaneously in front of an audience, contributing to each other’s work.

The event will begin at 7.30 p.m. when the first group of four artists will each commence working on a blank canvas.

After 15 minutes the partly finished work will move to the next artist for a further 15-minute period.

This process will continue for an hour, with each canvas passing through the creative hands of each artist for their contribution. After a short interval the second group will go through the same process.

Eight highly unique abstract paintings, signed by all members of the group will result from the evening’s activities and will be exhibited in the Vee Gee Bee Art Gallery until Friday.

Bids may be made directly with Vee Gee Bee Art on 2122 4585 for bidding; bids start at €100 and a “buy now” bid of €300 is available to secure a purchase. All monies raised will be donated to The Malta Hospice Movement.
