The Education TV Productions Unit of the Ministry of Education is producing a daily one-hour educational programme on TVM.

The aim is to reach the adult televiewer through different courses organised by the Education Division, ETC, the University of Malta, MCAST, FES and ITS and others.

The courses are presented by qualified teachers and cover a wide spectrum of subjects. The audiovisual characteristic allows viewers to enhance their knowledge and education, from home. The programme is produced and presented by Lynn Faure, assisted by Nathalie Tabone and Miriam Ellul.

The courses include Tour fir-Russja, in which Olga Gauci teaches spoken Russian while Reuben Gauci, assisted by Dr Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci and other experts, explains Russian art and history.

In Inclusive Education, Andrew Azzopardi looks at inclusion as an elaborate interaction that takes place within the social structures we are engaged in. Dr Azzopardi tackles themes such as the techniques used by schools to create an inclusive culture, and the impace of inclusion on the school community.

In Post il-Mara hu, experts discuss the benefits of child care centres, the woman's position in society, and the meaning of voluntary work. In Digital Literacy, basic computer skills are taught, while Servizzi minn Ghawdex looks at education in Gozo.

The programme is aired on TVM from Monday to Friday between 10 and 11 a.m., with a repeat on Education 22 Channel at 2 and at 9 p.m.
