The Energy Ministry said this evening that the eco-reduction would continue to be applied to electricity bills, even when the tariff cuts were introduced in March.

Reacting to comments by the leader of the opposition in parliament, the ministry said low income people who currently received vouchers would continue to receive them.

The ministry accused the opposition of trying to scare people and said the reduction of bills at an average of 25 per cent for electricity and 5% for water would be introduced as promised.
