The Union Haddiema Maghqudin has ordered ECG technicians not to carry out any ECGs unless these were ordered by a doctor.

It also ordered the technicians to immediately pass on the results to the doctor. This meant that the doctor had to be present for the test.

It said in a statement that its orders follows negotiations between the minister and another union about the technicians, of whom it was the sole representative,

This, the UHM said, was in breach of industrial relations legislation. It said it was not excluding escalating its industrial action and was also willing to take industrial action.
