“We at Suq tal-Belt were happy to host this group of children and share this joyful experience with them. We believe that businesses cannot be successful unless the society around them is successful as well. In this regard we started collaborating with the Valletta local council and we will be hosting events aimed to enhance the well-being of the Valletta community,” said Maria Micallef, CEO of Arkadia Marketing Ltd.

“I believe that the business community in Valletta is an important partner of our city and of our residents. Above all, I believe that the business community should build bridges with the residents by hosting positive initiatives. After a positive meeting with Ms Micallef, the company that runs is-Suq tal-Belt mapped out a social responsibility programme that was approved by the Valletta council. This is the way a serious local council should work by having a vision and responsibility towards the residents of the neighbourhood,” said Valletta mayor Christian Micallef.

This event is the first of many collaborative community social responsibility events which Is-Suq tal-Belt shall be undertaking, with the aim of promoting a more inclusive society, the basis of Is-Suq tal-Belt’s history. A melting pot of different cultures, tastes and the centre of a wholly inclusive society that is Valletta’s food market.
