Earth Hour was marked in Malta this evening, with power being switched off at Qui-Si-Sana garden, Portes des-Bombes and the bastions of the Citadella, among other locations.

At George Bonello du Puis Garden in Qui Si-Sana, candles were handed out and a march was held by Sliema Scouts and the Salesian Brigade

Earth Hour is a global event organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature. People and businesses are asked to switch off their non-essential lights and other electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness on the need to take action on climate change.
