The political parties raised a staggering €1.23 million in fundraising telethons held yesterday.

The Labour Party raised €611,497 and the PN 620,319. Both achieved new records.

Both party leaders thanked their supporters for their generosity.

 

The telethons were held between noon and midnight. Variety programmes were presented in both headquarters as volunteers, officials and MPs received phone calls. 

The PL also held a Christmas market outside its HQ.
