Dutch team RKVV Westlandia recently held a training camp at the Malta FA training grounds in Ta' Qali. Westlandia play in the Dutch Division Two league.

During their stay here, Westlandia, coached by Wilfred van Leeuwen, were involved in several training sessions and also played a friendly against the Malta U-21 team.

Edwin Camilleri's side won 4-0. Malta's U-21 team are currently preparing for the friendly match against Denmark, to be played at the Hibs Ground on February 10.

"Malta U-21 played a very organised, defensive game," Van Leeuwen said.

"They had 10 players behind the ball, and it was very hard for us to break them down. In the first half we had a few good chances to score but the Maltese side managed to intercept a couple of balls which they turned into successful counter-attacks."
