A 22-year-old drug victim today pleaded guilty to theft from the Inter Club Pupi Zanetti Malta during the Christmas period.

Sean Micallef, from Msida, was charged with stealing a projector, television, alcohol and merchandise amounting to over €2,000. He was also charged with relapsing, committing a crime while serving a suspended sentence and breaching previous bail conditions.

The accused pleaded guilty, despite the court warning him of the consequences of committing a crime while his suspended sentence was still operative.

Prosecuting officer Fabian Fleri told Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech that the accused had a serious drug problem and asked for it to be addressed.

Lawyer Joseph Mizzi also appealed for the accused to be put on a drug rehabilitation problem.

The court will be delivering its judgment on January 26.
