This year's Voices concert "Dream a Little Dream" is being held between October 3 and 7 and 10 – 14 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre at 7.30 p.m. The performance on October 7 will be a matinee, starting at 3.30 p.m.

The repertoire this year includes hits by the Beatles, Adele, Sting, Katy Perry, Zucchero, Queen, Abba, Alicia Keyes, Pink Floyd as well as tributes to Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson.

Voices, a 200-strong choir and live band is made up completely of volunteers who dedicate their summer every two years to raise funds for deserving charities. The sum raised to date has reached over €1.5 million.

Addressing a press conference to launch this year's concerts, Voices Foundation chairman Antonello Gauci said the choice of this year's theme was particularly appropriate: "We hope that the dreams of many people will become reality with the financial aid which we give to organisations which are involved in worthy community projects."

Gemma Mifsud Bonnici, the chairman of the Vodafone Malta Foundation, which is sponsoring the concerts, said the foundation was constantly on the look-out for contributions towards the improvement of Maltese society and it believed in the worthy causes chosen by Voices.

Also present at the press conference was Nora Macelli, representing the St Jeanne Antide Foundation whose project The Ġamra Community Social Work Project in Fgura was chosen as the lead project for the Voices "Listen to the Music" 2010 concerts.

This project supports vulnerable families in the community and has been financed by Voices for two years (2011 – 2013).

Tickets for Voices "Dream a Little Dream" will go on sale on September 14 from the booking offices at the MCC and the Manoel Theatre.
