Tony Drago continued to make progress in the China Open qualifiers yesterday after beating former world no.1 John Parrott 5-2 in round two at Pontin's, Wales.

Drago, who beat Lee Page 5-2 on Tuesday, had runs of 47, 55 and 60 and led Parrott 3-1 at the break.

The opening two games after the interval were shared but the Valletta pro secured victory in the seventh frame when he opened a comfortable lead with a quick 60 to oust his opponent from Liverpool.

Today, Drago plays Anthony Hamilton in the third round. The Londoner is currently ranked no.33 in the world.
