The Zararti Foundation will be presenting an adaptation in Maltese of the renowned 1924 French play, Dr Knock or The Triumph of Medicine by Jules Romains.

A comedy bordering on farce, this play takes a dig at modern medicine and people’s obsession with avoiding disease.

A company of 30 mostly young actors (and some seasoned ones) will perform the adaption, which has been re-written by director Narcy Calamatta.

Zararti’s motto is ‘My country’s arts blossoms’. Its mission is to give young artists the possibility to break into mainstream artistic events. It also wants to create an audience composed of students, graduates and their families.

Performances take place on November 15 and 16 at the Sir Temi Zammit Hall, University of Malta, Tal-Qroqq and start at 7.30 p.m.

Tickets may be obtained from St James Cavalier by phone on 2122 3200 or by e-mail:boxoffice@sjcav.org.
