PN deputy leader Simon Busuttil this morning acknowledged that the government could have done much more to address the people's personal wishes but said this was no reason as to why the PN should not get their trust once again.
"Since I've been elected deputy leader I've met and listened to hundreds of people speak about their problems. I will continue to do so even after the elections and can assure voters of my personal interest in their cause."
Speaking following a visit to a number of commercial establishments in Sliema, Dr Busuttil said the national interest should prevail over personal problems.
"The PN has managed to keep the country on a steady course despite the troubled international climate. I am sure that the people see this and will continue to support our politics."
He acknowledged that the government could have done much more to address certain 'small' personal problems and promised his personal dedication to continue to try to address people's concern.
"Count on me. I will be the for you even after March 9," he said.
