I recently decided to treat my family together with some foreign friends of ours to Easter lunch. After checking out the availabilities, the choice fell on a particular hotel, which proved to be a complete nightmare.

For a start, when making the booking I was told that it was a sit down lunch, "not a buffet". Then, on the day, as soon as I went towards the restaurant entrance, we were stopped and told to present the payment vouchers! Which meant that we had to pay before we even sat down. During the lunch itself my little children decided to go and have a little roam around, so I had to leave the table and accompany them in order to avoid any sort of mischief. On both occasions upon my return I did not find my plate!

To cut a long story short, we were having our coffee and cakes until a waiter came up to us and told us to move out as they had to clean up!
