Charles & Ron unveiled their spring/summer 2016 collection at Pier 59 Studios with Nolcha Shows during New York Fashion Week.
Charles & Ron are in love with the Mediterranean, in love with their Maltese heritage and in love with beautiful, feminine shapes.
The collection is a vibrant and colourful showcase of graphic prints inspired by the traditional Maltese luzzu.
Sky blue and buttercup yellow in block patterns and stripes and silk satin and viscose crepe dresses in super feminine cuts are paired with the designers’ handcrafted leather bags.
Some of their original bag styles were reworked and merged into new styles, made in the finest Italian leather and colours.
A mysterious ‘evil eye’, which fights off the bad spirits when the luzzu is at sea, will also watch over the CR woman for spring/summer 2016.
Colour company Pantone included Charles & Ron designs in its spring/summer 2016 colour forecast, describing the signature yellow used for this collection as “a shining beacon transporting the wearer to a sunnier, happier place”.
