Government dentists have been instructed by their union not to carry out work normally done by appointment after discussions over their collective agreement came to a standstill.

Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin said the issue was mostly over the appointment of casual workers and career progression. It said the directive had been issued earlier but was suspended after the authorities agreed to talk things out.
