The government is still not providing Dementia pills which were promised in the Budget speech, Opposition health spokesman Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca said this morning.

She said the impression was given that the pills would be made available early this year, but six months on, patients were still having to buy them or go without.

She said the government was deceiving the people, including vulnerable sectors of society. It appeared that the process for the government to purchase the medicines was still at an early stage and it would be some months before the pills were available.
