Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero has warned his team-mates they must not get carried away by their opening day victory over Parma.

The Bianconeri won 4-1 in Turin on Sunday in an outstanding first competitive match at their new stadium.

"I am over the moon," Del Piero said. "We could not have asked for a better start to the season.

"But we need to keep our feet on the ground.

"We have a delicate week ahead because when things go well is when you most risk making mistakes.

"Receiving too much praise can sometimes distort reality.

"We have to focus and keep working."

Juve, who are looking to improve from successive seventh-placed finishes that saw them miss out on the Champions League two seasons in a row, travel to Tuscany to face Siena this weekend.
