During the 12-month period between May 2008 and May this year, the Industrial Tribunal delivered 64 decisions in connection with alleged unfair dismissal.

Social Policy Minister John Dalli told José Herrera (PL) that 25 of these were in favour of the employees where the employers of 24 of them were ordered to give compensation and that of another asked to re-instate him.

In 39 cases, the tribunal found against the workers.
