Rachel Thake, daughter of Radio 101 commentator David Thake and Nationalist general secretary Rosette Thake has written an open letter to the prime minister and Labour blogger Glenn Bedingfield, telling them not to involve her in their attacks.

Ms Thake appears to have issued the letter after Mr Bedingfield reproduced a Facebook post in which she sought advice about what she should wear for a wedding since she has several tattoos.

The 22-year-old has been in the line of fire since March when she uploaded a Facebook post saying: "you would be very happily vote for these rats".

In a Facebook post this morning, Ms Thake wrote:

"First and foremost, I do not expect a reply. I'd rather this gets to you and maybe you think twice about your actions for the sake of your children, family members, followers, listeners and also your political party.

I'd also like to point out that I am not speaking on the behalf of any political party. I am speaking on behalf of myself and myself alone, so maybe any sort of bullying stops.

If you have anything to say against my parents, I'd have assumed that you would bring up arguments to do with THEIR work and not the private life of their daughter

Just in case you didn't hear what my father David Thake said on his radio program Taghna lkoll ma' David Thake yesterday on 27/6/16, I have gone ahead and produced a little video with the clip for you to listen to. I'm very sure you were both ears to the speaker as you are during his shows, so you might have already heard it. However, I'd like to show others and share this with people to give and idea of how you both seem to think that political bullying is acceptable.

I am a girl of almost 23 years of age with no sort of political involvement what so ever. I pay taxes and thus pay towards Mr. Bedingfield's wage. The last thing I'd expect would be him trying his best to ridicule me to his viewers and listeners of the Labour Party on his little blog? I am in no way in the public eye. Why should my opinions and my views be nationalised? All that because I am the daughter of two political persons? If you have anything to say against my parents, I'd have assumed that you would bring up arguments to do with THEIR work and not the private life of their daughter.

You are both fathers, from what I heard, and you both seem to think that launching an attack on a young girl to try and ridicule the Nationalist Party is the way forward. I would hate to see the look on your children's face when you explain to them that the way to deal with another person who has a different political opinion to yours, is to make fun of their daughter in front of the whole nation.

On another note, in no way or form will I ever be ashamed of who I am. I am very proud of the woman I am today. I am proud of the choices I have made, be them bad or good. They have all moulded me in to the person I have become over these past years. I would much rather be a woman who made mistakes. I'm human. If I didn't make mistakes, I'd never learn. You can only go forward by making mistakes.

Experience is making mistakes and learning from them.

I may seem to be an easy target to you both, however, as much as I am fuel to your fire, the bullet bounces back towards you in the end.

I suggest you both listen to it carefully.

Thank you in advance for your time.

P.S: Glenn, you may want to thank me. The articles you wrote about me gave your blog the biggest boom you'll ever see. You're welcome."

Mr Thake and Mr Bedingfield had openly clashed about the girl during an edition of Times Talk last March.

Mr Bedingfield has been repeatedly criticised for running a blog attacking private individuals despite working as a communications adviser in the Office of the Prime Minister.
