All my attempts to obtain at least an acknowledgement from Mosta council (which boasts so highly of its online customer care facilities) have failed, because all my e-mails and phone calls have been ignored.

A week or so ago, a street floor pedestrian barrier was placed in the narrow Kurat Bezzina Street. For some odd reason, this barrier was not erected and placed on the pavement as is the practice. It was placed just under the pavement onto the road.

This is causing a very serious inconvenience to traffic (one should note that this road is two-way, which makes matters worse).

Large cars, trucks and especially refuse trucks are finding it difficult not to say impossible to drive through this road because of this obstacle without damaging their own cars or parked cars.

There is another barrier further down which was placed as it should be on the pavement, so why this second one was placed on the road is beyond me.

I appeal to the council either to remove the barrier once and for all or, at least, to reposition it on the pavement, as it should be.
