A woman in her 50s suffering from a heart condition was until recently living in this house in Cottonera, whose ceiling is in danger of collapsing. Her plight was highlighted by Labour MEP hopeful Steve Borg who said the woman was promised that the ceiling (in picture) would be fixed before last year's election.

Not only has her home, which she rents out from the Joint Office, not been fixed, he said, but she was asked to leave the house.

Although the woman has found temporary accommodation, she is scared that she will end up homeless.
