Hilary Galea-Lauri will be cycling the length of the UK in September to raise funds for Inspire Foundation.

Mr Galea-Lauri, 50, a partner at KPMG, will attempt to travel the 1,600km journey from Land’s End in southwest England to John O’Groats, the most northerly point of mainland Scotland, in 12 days. He is hoping to raise over €10,000.

“Imagine what a mere €10 per kilometre can raise. Training requires a great deal of mental preparation and people’s support will certainly go a long way,” he said.

The ride will depart on September 1. Discover Adventure, a UK company that specialises in trekking and cycling challenges for charitable fundraising, is organising it.
